Why:
You can visit many cafes and restaurants and you will usually discover that many are strong in some directions and not in others.
However, every now and then, you will discover a gem that sparkles just that little more brightly than others and really delivers the goods. Kin and Co is such a gem, and their game has steadily improved from what was already a pretty reasonable game when it opened not all that long ago.
Its owners and staff are very friendly, very competent and very generous, and their food is absolutely scrumptious. The cafe is pet friendly outside, child friendly and adult friendly.
The kitchen works like a well oiled machine and there is an aura of “family” about the staff – and that’s because they are comprised of family and close friends (hence the name Kin and Co). There’s a little bit of something for everyone there, from the nutty sweet goodness of the home made granola, to the spicy tang of the meatball dish, to the creamy cheesiness of the omelette with ham (try it with added mushrooms – yummo!) or the faithful reliability of bacon and eggs how you like it (recommend the avocado and eggs dish with a side of bacon – also yummo).
The coffees are many and varied and sourced from a variety of places and their cold pressed coffees are all a taste sensation. Couple that with a terrific selection of hot drinks (my favourites – turmeric latte and dirty chai) and a range of smoothies, and this cafe is pretty hard to beat.
